Honors College Freshman Service Project
Third annual project is a success
The third annual Honors College Freshman Service Project took place on Saturday, Oct. 18 in three different locations in Baton Rouge. Nearly 150 students volunteered their Saturday free time to help build a house with Habitat for Humanity, perform restoration work with MidCity Redevelopment Alliance and the BREC Horse Activity Center. The service project returned to Baton Rouge after last year's run in New Orleans and St. Bernard Parish.
Honors volunteers help paint and restore a house with the MidCity Redevelopment Alliance, which also partnered with the Honors College for the inaugural Freshman Service Project in 2006 at Sweet Olive Cemetery.
