LeRoy Lambert

LeRoy LambertLeRoy Lambert is a maritime lawyer, arbitrator, and mediator and presently the President of the Society of Maritime Arbitrators, Inc. in New York.  He retired as General Counsel of Charles Taylor P&I Management (Americas), Inc., after serving as its President from 2009-2017. He was an associate and partner at Healy & Baillie from 1984 to 2006, until it combined with Blank Rome in 2006. He was a judicial clerk to Chief Justice John A. Dixon, Jr. of the Louisiana Supreme Court in 1983-84.

Mr. Lambert received his undergraduate degree in philosophy from Louisiana State University in 1976 with Honors. After post-graduate studies at the University of Tubingen, in Tubingen, Germany in 1976 to 1978 and working in his family’s business he received his law degree from Tulane University School of Law in 1983, where he was Editor in Chief of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal. Additionally, he is admitted to the Bar in the States of New York, New Jersey and Louisiana  and is a member of the German Maritime Arbitration Association in Hamburg. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Maritime Law Association of the United States from 2015-18 and a member since 2001 of the board of the Hellenic American Chamber of Commerce, having served as its President in 2008-2010. He is a co-author of Voyage Charters(4thed 2014), numerous articles, and a frequent speaker and panelist at maritime and legal conferences.

LeRoy lives in Maplewood, New Jersey, and New Orleans with his wife, Sherri (LSU B.S. Ed. 1976, M.Ed.1978, and J.D., Loyola, 1985).
